Understanding Menopause: A Journey to Embrace

Hello, everyone! Welcome to the second chapter of our blog.

We’re diving into a topic which is of course close to many of our hearts and the reason we are here together: menopause. It often doesn’t feel like it but it’s a natural part of life, and we’re here to explore it together, offering support, sharing experiences, and, yes, having some fun too!

Menopause: The Transition

Menopause is not medically classed an illness, I know, surprising isn’t it! It’s classed as a natural change in a woman’s life, like puberty and grey hair! Typically occurring in the 40s or 50s, it’s the time when period stops and whilst we suffer with the symptoms of peri menopause and post menopause the actual “menopause” only lasts one day!

Busting Menopause Myths

Let’s debunk some common myths about menopause:

Menopause Isn’t About Getting Old: It’s another stage of life and we all experience it differently with many women really struggling with physical and emotional symptoms and others who are able to find a sense of freedom and joy during this time.

Symptoms Vary: From hot flashes to mood swings, the many and weird symptoms differ for each woman, and we are, as women, the experts in the many ways we can make these symptoms more manageable.

Sex Life Doesn’t End: Menopause doesn’t need to be the end of your sex life. In fact, many women can, with a little research into how to make it more comfortable, find a new sense of enjoyment in their intimate relationships post-menopause.
